Default underdrive pulley???

do underdrive pulleys affect charging or A/C compression?
which is best ASP or SLP?

Fortunately, I do not speak from personal experience.....but if you do a search...you'll find many timing chain failures have been reported by those using an ASP balancer. Just a heads up.

I have an ASP now for 5 years with no issues---As far as the chraging and AC is concerned it will cause the battery not to charge at low RPM's and sometimes the AC will quit untill you rev it up some
MORE importantly i found that the power sterring is the biggest issue as when driving around in a parking lot at idle speeds the steering becomes very hard as the pump isn't pumping enough fluid
BUT I corrected all the issues by setting the idle speed up to 800 RPM's and now its fine--With a stock A4 converter it will take more brake effort to keep the car from creeping at a stoplight though---However i have a stall converter so I don't have that problem

I am gonna go with a SLP, these tend to have the least issues.

fluidapner thats what I put on mine it's self balancing i'm very happy with it look it up and read about it .Theres many to choose from pick the one that best suits you

Been on since Easter, no problems yet!
