I know that this really sounds stupid but I can't get the tail light bulb out of the socket! I pushed 2 little pins on the side of the socket and the bulb + what looks like part of the socket (it's a beige color) came out and then I can't get the bulb out of it! Am I doing something wrong? Any tips would be appreciated. :mad
Remove the screws retaining the tail lamp assembly to the rear fascia.
Remove the tail lamp from the fascia to gain access to the tail lamp socket.
Remove the socket from the lamp assembly.
Remove the bulb from the socket, if replacing the bulb.
Remove the tail lamp from the vehicle.
Thanks for the reply. That is what the manuals say but the bulb won't come out! Maybe you have to use extreme force! I called Exit 28, where I purchased them from, and they said that they should just twist out...no such luck.
Did you try pushing down on the bulb before trying to turn it? I think most of these sockets have a detent that has to be released first. I didn't have any issues with replacing my taillamp bulbs.

He is right, you gotta push down before you turn, but sometimes they get really stuck and you need to use some force. I would make sure to put on some gloves incase you get a bit over zelouse and break the bulb glass. It cuts the poopie out of your finger tips :cry
