Default trunk release

hello everyone, I still do not have my trunk release working yet, but I think I narrowed it down to the BCM. I know the switch works and the solenoid works to release and according to the manual, I need to replace the BCM. Does anyone know approximately how much they are, where to get one, and what exactly needs to be programmed.
please help.
thanks
Randy

You should call Gene Culley if you are sure it needs to be replaced. I think I gave a couple hundred for mine which is exhorbitant for some crappy little PCB with some I/O ports on it in a cheezy aluminum box. Anyway, it needs the tech II to program in the RPO codes for proper function else a light will be on the dash all the time. Also requires the password reset function listed in the manual.

If car is manual, pull up ebrake when engine is running so trunk will pop otherwise car has to be off.

Default More info on car

Hello, thanks for the response. The car is a pewter, 1999, convertible, with a standard transmission. It also has all the goodies like HUD different ride positions, it also has aftermarket C6 style wheels chrome.
Thanks again for the help, keep it coming.
