I have a 2001 z and the a/c only blows cold on the passenger side, I am sure it is a blend door issue, I started to pull the dash out the other day and realized there an very few visible fasteners so now I have two issues.
1. Can anyone give me some direction as to where hidden bolts might be and what to remove to get to them, I really do not want to break any dash panels I am sure they cost a pretty penny.
2. I noticed that the vacumm lines are color coded, does anyone know whick lines I should be paying paticular attention to, or know of somewhere I can get a diagram to tell me what controls what function.

Are you Sure? I suggest you learn to use the SEARCH feature, and do a lot of reading!
This may be silly, but, do you have any codes? That is one thing I have learned on this forum,Great information here, covering lots of issues. Check codes first, then post again.
the hvac controller has no codes in it, read elsewhere on the forum to disconnect battery and allow ecm's to reset, did not change anything, cannot hear any actuators moving etc, will pull dash apart and check things out
You need to see if you have any codes on the DIC, not sure what the HVAC has to do with codes? Usually if its an acuator problem, which most people have had, there will be a code on the DIC. Do you know how to do this? I know I did not when I first got my Vette.
My guess would be it is either a drivers side actuator (check codes) or low on freon. BOth can easily be checked before you tear into the dash.
Yes, definately check the freon level. My '01 coupe and a friends '98 both had this same issue- cold on passenger side, warm on dirvers. BOTH cars were low on freon and after adding some (mine took almost 1 can) the problem was fixed!!

Agree with above, before dismantling the dash have the freon level checked.
This showed up in my 98 last month. Had the freon level topped off and all is well.
Yes, for God's sake check everything out thoroughly before tearing into the dash; it's a nightmare. Check out the thread "Reindexing HVAC actuators" if you have not already done so. And you certainly should have some DIC codes regarding your problem.
