Default Relocating Coil Packs...need plug wire help.

Hello All-
I'm relocating my coil packs before I head up to the LSX shootout...problem is, after researching, everyone is using the MSD #32079 universal set. Well, that set is Red in color...and I NEED black plug wires. Anyone else run into this...if so, what set did you use? Jegs and Summitt have been no help, so i'm wondering if any forum members can aid in my search. Thanks!

Stephen

Just order a black MSD or Taylor set, and order MSD or Taylor's boot kit for opti sparks. LT1 opti's use the same boot and connector as LS1 coil packs. I had problems with my MSD wires, so I put Taylors on and have been fine.

I can put the set together for you or sell the same universal set to you in black for $100 to you door. You wont find a better deal. Send me your lengths and I'll make them for you and guarantee them for life vs defects. All MSD 8.5mm stuff. The Taylor opti spark terminal isn't the same as the MSD terminal. The MSD has longer crimping ears, you can pull the wire from the Taylor terminal where the MSD won't pull free as easily.

The Taylor stuff isnt as good as the MSD Superconductor 8.5mm stuff. Simple fact. I've been doing this for a while and know what I am talking about. The Streetwires brand stuff from MSD isn't as good as the 8.5mm Superconductor stuff.

I agree with Chris, the MSD stuff did seem like it was of higher quality. I actually ended up using the MSD terminal ends and boots on the Taylor wires. My MSD wires were shorting out and burning through the red coating though, they were less than 2 months old and were cracking and turning grey, and this was several inches away from my headers so it was not heat. I'm going to redo some things over the winter and will be ordering a custom set of black wires from Chris.
