Owners Manual
Facts, I have a new to me 03 Z06 with less then 7K miles. I could have sworn that when I test drove it both the drivers side and passenger side controls showed a change in value on the display.
I read the manual and searched this forum for the last week after noticing that the passengers control didn't show anything on the display. I had borrowed the Vette battery to recover my Found On Road Dead Escape with a failed alternator.
I suspected the battery in and out had caused some sort of havoc. Today after pulling the "27" fuse to no avail I came back here in search of more answers.
Then I didscovered this gem "The passengers side ZONE **** only alters the passengers side vent tempe warmer or colder a certain percent change from the set drivers side temp. (I believe off the top of my head its 10% difference. The C5 owners manual explains the operation clearly)
The passengers side **** does NOT have any control panel visable displays." Why isn't this in the manual?
Oh and can you tell me is the under the hood lamp supposed to turn on when you raise the hood or is there a switch?
One other question, does this car have really bad torque steer or am I stepping to hard on the loud pedal and breaking loose?
Sorry one more question, has anyone found a cure for torque addiction?

:3gears:
the under hood lamp is supposed to turn on right when you open the hood, there is no switch
I don't understand what you mean by torque steer, no it doesn't and if you were breaking loose you would be OVER STEERING and not pushing due to torque steer. torque steer is a front wheel drive issue more often than not
you're obviously being sarcastic about the torque addiction...
you say the manual has very little info but then you found "gem" and learned by reading it??
and not every vehicle has a separate thermostat digital read out for every passenger in the car. Do you really need one?
who cares if it's a 10 percent change? they probably don't put the exact specifics in the owners manual because it's over most peoples head and that is what the SERVICE MANUAL is for and you'll be glad one day that you control the temp in the car instead of your passenger
I've seen some manuals that are very helpful. The manual that came with this car is not up to that standard.
Indeed my comments regarding torque are in jest. I've had front wheel, all wheel and rear wheel drive vehicles. All have very different characteristics. I'm still learning this car and have yet to get a "grip" on the prodigious amount of torque available.

Careful with the car brotha. A lot of vette wrecks lately and the Z06 is definitely a lot of car.
Mess around more in 2nd gear on up and practice your first gear launches on the strip or desolate road, you'll get the hang of it.
It's better to practice by yourself to so there is no peer pressure or embarrassment and you can focus 100 percent
