My front screens and rear brake vents were looking kinda rough so I fixed em up with some nice enamel. Take a look at the before and afters. I did this on the car in about an hour. The longest part was taping off and then adding a sheet to go around the taped off parts to kinda make my own little spray booth.
Painting is pretty easy, surface prep is the painful part but the part that pays the most dividends. I hope your job wasn't a waste of time and lasts for a good while.
I wish I would have taken some pics of the area all masked up but I didn't. What I did is taped around the parts, prepped them, took the tape off, taped around them again, attached newspaper all the way around, and then took a bed sheet and taped it up there. Then I got inside the bed sheet with my can of paint and went to work. I'm sure I looked pretty stupid out there in the parking lot making a fort with my car and a bed sheet but I really didn't care. The results were really nice! And yes, I was painting the screens and plastic because I saw some all black ones on the forum and thought "man, that looks pretty good" I think it looks great on the quicksilver.
I got my vinyl letters and new 405 hp emblems in today and I should be getting my blackouts sometime this week. I'll post pics when the whole car is done.
