New clutch assy with all new hydraulics, about 1200 miles since. clutch broken in properly, the car has now developed a grinding noise when leaving from a stop while letting the clutch out. i've just replaced the throw out bearing again thinking that may have been the problem but it still exists intermittently.
i think i've searched all that i can but i may have missed something.
the next thing i can think of would be the T/T bearings.
any ideas guys??
if it is the T/T bearing, where might i purchase one??
DId you replace the pilot bearing with the clutch? I have the same grinding issue and TICK Performance told me it was most likely the pilot bearing. I replaced my TT with new bushings and bearings and the noise didn't go away.
If it was the TT bearings I think you would have issues in all gears, not just starting out.
pilot bearing was replaced, now after inspecting the NEW slave cylinder, the bearing seems to be worn on the id. the rear t/t bushing is making some noise, moreso than the front. should i replace the front and rear t/t parts with a rubber and an aluminum bushing set?
we're at wits end with this problem, this is our 4th time to tear down for clutch related issues. some my fault but, some not.

thanks in advance
opinions vary on the aluminum pieces. The stock rubber stuff will last over 120K miles if you're not tracking or racing the crap out of the car.
You should change the bearings while you have it all out as it's a lot of work to just go back in and change the bearings after already doing the bushings.
In the VHS tape I got with my 03 Z06 GM says that the noise is "inherent to the design". Yeah, I couldn't believe it either.
My car had a bad pilot bearing. While I had the trans out I replaced the pilot bearing with a bushing, all new OEM clutch disc, PP, TOB, flywheel, slave and torque tube assembly. It use to make the noise only when the car or weather was hot. I think I heard it faintly in the morning a couple of times recently but it has been gone for the most part since all new parts.
Is the sound that you are hearing kind of a metally rattling sound? Sorry, no better way to describe the way mine is sounding, but I have a sound when I start our from a stop.
PILOT BEARING (NEW BUT BAD), all of the needles are gone so, ultimately it took out my 2nd new slave cylinder. I am ordering new bearings, new couplers, a new slave and pilot bearing and will hope that nothing else goes wrong.
A few cell phone pics of the damage
thank you all for your input and opinions.
I have a bearing supplier for my company and i contacted him for new bearings at a fraction of the cost of new ones.
