Default Hood Manufacturing Process
I purchased a hood and the local collision shop mentioned that the top shell and bottom shell were separating

Anyone ever had or heard of this?

Is it repairable (since new hoods are about $1K from factory)

easy fix, get some GM glue and stick it back down, clamp it for 24hrs, Iam sure there are plenty of other glues around, 3m etc
