reduced engine power
What causes this message to come up and how do you correct it. It came up after trip from new mexico to Colorado on Monday. Got caught in a traffric jam due to an accident and was sitting still and moving only about 5 mph for about 30 minures.. any thoughts orclues will be appreciated. I let the vette sit for about 20 minutes and seemed okay, drove it Tuesday for a short trial run, seemed ok, but htis morning message came up againa while backing out of garage..

I've been fighting this for months. First you need to pull your codes, post them up and someone here can help you narrow it down from there. Reading Bill Curlee's long electrical thread is a must!

There is a table in the pcm that will need to be adjusted because of your increased airflow from a modification. Your tuner can fix it or if you have EFLinve or HPTuners you can fix it.

SILLY me, never thought it was the battery as it was fairly new, 3yrs old for a 6 year battery. After checking the first ground under the hood and it was brand spanking new clean, we pulled the door panel and checked all that out. Tried to pull codes but got none. After all that we checked the battery amps and it only registered 9amps. Pulled the same battery from my p/u and every thing worked okay.. Lesson learned.. Check battery first for any electrical probs..
