Default Fuse Block repair???

Has anyone ever disassembled an under the hood fuse block? I am near possitive mine has a short within but I cant seem to seperate the two halves.

Yes, and it's a royal PIA and you better have small hands cause it doesn't separate very far.

The chances of you having a short in this area(unless the vehicle has been under water or in an accident) are slim. What are you troubleshooting?

the previous owner had an accident that Im finding out was not put back together very well. The high fan needs to be jumped to ground then it works fine. Ive pulled the block and tested each wire in that system that they're isolated the correct way and not shorting. I did notice fan2 relay coming in and out real easy compared to the other relays. The only part I cant test or at least dont know how to is the block it self.

You should be able to check the resistance value of all circuits (related to the relays) with a meter.

I thought about that but have not found what those values should be... I am using alldata instead of the 3 volume manuals.

Do a search for "cooling fans"...plenty of schematics posted on this forum.
