Passengers Headlight issue
Have all the instructions from Patches write up and other write up but each of these assume you can raise the bucket manually.
Thanks

The good news is that pass and drivers side headlight gears have been replaced with the brass CNC replacment gear. A couple of interesting things did pop up (pun intended). Mine is a 1999 ragtop, so the motor is the three bolt cover style, looking at the car from the front the three boltheads are on the passenger side are on the right side (to the driver and engine) this also true for the drivers side. Again looking at the car from the front with the passenger bucket on the left and the driver bucket on the right the three boltheads are again on the right side of the motor. This means the boltheads are against the mounting bracket. This would not allow the idea of removing the three bolts and taking off the cover to fix the gear.
While most of the threads I read here and other corvette sites talk and show the ploy gear teeth destroyed, both of my gears were in perfectly good shape. I replaced the drivers because the passenger was bad and figured I would do them both now rather than one now and wait for the other to fail. But upon opening the passenger motor cover I found the black insert was the actual culprit, it was completely in peices in the casing and this would explain why the light never came up during the **** turning.
Anyway they are fixed and if your **** turns and the bucket does not come up it stands to reason that the black plastic insert is destroyed.
Thank you to all that have done the write ups they helped alot.
