descreening maf with vararam

would it be ok if im running a vararam intake to descreen my maf and maybe adding 75 or 100 dry shot and how do i do it or shuold i say what tools

you know i spoke with my mechanic about descreening and he recommended against it. It really changes that flow over the MAF and sometimes can cause a rough n low idle. You would be doing this with vararam and i dont think your PCM will like it to much. It already has a hard enough time makin the AF ratio adjustments with the MAF screen in. Im sure somone with more experience then me will chime in about the N20.

The increased airflow with a Vararam seems to cause more turbulence without a screen.The ZO6 folks run into this problem.
