Default A few questions about Drivetrain....

Hey guys ive been an Fbody fan for years had a few of them and ALOT of different setups.. H/C/I setup, Nitrous setup, th400 & turbo setup, rearmount sts setup, ect, ect...

I currently have a 98 Trans Am with boltons, cam, built 4l60e, vig 3600 stall, 9in rear, suspension mods, ect, ect....

I currently have it for sale and am looking to join the Vette community, i feel like i have done and had just everything with the fbody and am looking for something new!

I am looking at the C5's as they are more in my price range. I am VERY new to the corvette drivetrain, actually i dont know crap about it.

I am looking to have a fun car for spirited street driving and the occasional 1/4 mile (2-3 times a year, lol) I will admit i am a very agressive driver (we have alot of open roads around here)

Future plans are H/C/I/TB + Procharger.... around 550HP range

So i have a few questions...

1) How much power will the 6speed (with aftermarket clutch only) and auto transmission (with stall) take stock?

2) How much power will the IRS handle? behind auto/behind 6speed

3) What else do i need to worry about at 550hp besides tires and tickets????

Thanks guys i really appreciate it!!!!!

Blaine
