What does GM use at the factory and what is everyone else using ?
Time to fix leaky butt syndrome.

Not sure what GM uses, but I've had great results with Redline and a tube of GM friction modifier additive.

GM uses their own lubricant ( 2 full 23 oz bottles & part of a third bottle), along with a 4 oz bottle of additive.

You drain the rear diff.
Then you add the 4 oz bottle of limited slip lube additive. #1052358

Then you add the axle lube to where it meets the bottom of the fill hole.

GM now has the limited slip lube additive allready mixed in their axle lube, but some service centers don't have it in their supply as yet.

When I switched my tranny & diff fluid out, I used Red line products. Good luck.

I use Amsoil Extreme duty 75W90. Think I tried Royal Purple a while ago too...

GM now recommends the 75W90 LS Synthetic gear lube with the friction modifier included already. I sell it if anyone is looking for some.
