Instrument Cluster Noise
I have a 2001 Silver Corvette Coupe I have owned for 1 year and have been able, thanks to this forum, to make several repairs to common issues attributed to the C5. I now have one that I have not been able to find listed in the forum. My instrument cluster speaker used for the audible alarm starts making a intermittent static or buzzing noise the minute you open the driver door or hit the unlock button on the remote. This noise will continue once the car is running and will not stop until after the ignition is turned off and the delay period for shutting down the lights etc. has expired. The audible chime for abnormal conditions still works but does have a distorted sound when activated. If anyone has experienced this condition and has an idea of what I need to look for to repair I would really appreciate the input. Thanks again for all who support this forum, Clyde
