But do you know off-hand how large they can bore the TB to?
Even if I can get the diameter at the butterfly to be around 80mm then I can shape the inlet and outlet to create a venturi effect. Well, the inlet is already tapered, but I can match up the outlet to the intake manifold.
I don't want to spend $350+ on an aftermarket if I can have this one ported. I will buy aftermarket if needed, but I want to try modifying this one first.
Also, I just like to play around. I may end up spending the same amount, but at least it will look stock and also allow me to pass on the information to others.
Really, I just want someone that can bore the TB and install a new butterfly, I can shape and polish the rest.
I haven't heard of anyone that has bored a stock TB. The casting must be too thin. If you could bore it larger, I'm sure somebody would have done this long ago.
