Tony, I thought it might be a little more appropriate to e-mail
you directly rather than discussing this on a public forum. I am
tired of you posting about a car you do not own, I also wonder
what you did to that car once you got it home. We have numerous
customers with the same exact parts on there cars making between
375 and 390 RWHP and running 12.0 to 11.80's in the 1/4 mi. So if
your car did not run correctly why didn't you bring it in to use
instead of selling it to someone out of state. It is kind of strange
that you had the car for only 1 month after the work was completed. I
think it was, so you wouldn't have to deal with him? Way to pass the buck!
Craig offered to help more than he was obligated to in this matter
but was turned down by Doug.
We have also had customer's bring us car's built by other tuner's that
have not performed properly and come to find out that the problem with
not making power were totally unrelated to the heads/ cam package. i.e.. bad
coil pack, damaged plug wires, bad knock sensor ect... So if you would
have given us a chance rather than selling to the highest bidder, we
would have remedied the problem.
Vettethret, asked where there was a dyno shop in So Orange Co.,
so he could test his car before and after installing standard bolt
on's. What does that have to do with your car?? Nothing, if you
don't have anything to say related to the topic don't bother to post.
No one cares about your impartial, unfounded opinions!!
If you would like to discuss this in detail feel free to call.

I changed my mind about the forum!

I truly hope you will receive great service.
Todd (WCC):
Be humble. Listen to the customer.
It is a forum to share information, good and bad. I hope others will continue to share good and bad stories.
I have a list of customers from this forum with bad experiences at your shop.
You have a list of customers who have had great experieces from your shop.
Label it as you will but I have nothing to gain other than sharing the information of my past experiences so others will gain, good or bad.
My philosophy is the truth will always come out, particularly from customers speaking up.
Someone had mentioned, "they must be doing something right since they've been in business for 20 years." Well, so is Henessey Motor Sports (from what we've been reading and warned).
The internet has not been popular the past 20 years. Now it is and information will be shared.
Since you like to quote, here's my quote I wrote to Craig last year, April 2001, regarding my experience:
Craig,
I hope you feel better soon. I have to be honest and let you know that I felt that everyone at your shop was running from me.
As you may be aware, John refused to work on my car further the last time I was there. This was based on he was not happy with some of my posts, asking forum members questions. His interpretation was, I was second guessing him - by asking others questions.
I explained to him that this is my nature, I ask a lot of questions. I am a law grad, this is how we are trained...ask questions so we can investigate and learn. Nothing more, nothing less. My intent was never to second guess his work. I explained this to him and he said that he now understands. To add, I spent over $18,000 at your shop in one year, therefore, I thought this would be a reasonable thing to do is to ask questions for future mods.
The disappointing point however was, you turned me down as a continuing customer. I have never experienced this. As a business owner, I will never take this type of thinking. With this thinking, calls for trouble for a business to survive. However, I don't believe you have this thinking and this is the reason why you are successful. But the key thing is, "what customers think", perception if you will.
In short, I will go through this with an open mind. I know John is pressured with all the work you provide him. So, I will not take this personal. I apologized to John for the posts I placed on the forum and I hope he sincerely accepts my apology.
Good luck and I'll continue to share information.
What a great forum.
