Default Service Column Lock?

I have the "service column lock" coming up on the display, what does that mean and what needs to be done? I have an '04.

You had posted your question in the Help section, which is used for Help with the website itself (forum issues, account issues, website issues, etc.).

You will receive a better response if you post Corvette technical questions in the appropriate Corvette section. In your case, you would want the C5 Tech section.

I've moved your thread to the appropriate Corvette section.

Good luck!

It means get a column lock bypass quick, because if it it is not already you are heading for a column lock.

You can buy them anyplace, E-bay, local corvette shop. Some sell them with just the bypass, others sell them with the column unlock kit.

Thanks Jet-Jock, I will check out the video. Haven't had time to try the other suggestions yet, I do know that it is the original battery and is now 6 years old, so probably need new battery regardless. Thanks to all that replied.
