diff fluid change question

Default diff fluid change question
Over the weekend, I changed the diff fluid. I noticed in the GM service manual that the car can't be run wide open for 300 miles after replacing the diff fluid.

Why is that!?

Hi There,
That 300 miles no WOT only applies if you had a total or new differential replacement.That the gear wear in period.
