Gas Pump Q:
I read on a post somewhere in here that a whining noise by the drivers head could be a bad gas pump? i have this..and noticed today the whining is louder with a full tank of gas. Its annoying..the whining goes is constant and when i turn my blinker on it goes with the rhythm of the blinker. like "ee uu ee uu" Does this sound like the gas pump problem? I have no more warranty, how much ya think its going to cost me if i get it taken care of? :confused:

Not sure about your symptoms, but L. pump is $493.50 & R pump is $244.80 if you need to replace one or both pumps. Labor for removel of one pump is 1.8 hours @ currect labor cost in your area. The final labor charge will reflect the time spent to diagnose the problem. It may not require purchase and replacement of one or both pumps. These are ballpark figures because it will depend on the problem and what, if any, parts require replacement. All figures courtesy of AllData.

Yikes! expensive, thanks for those numbers fang..Anyone know if chevy would still repair my car cuz of that recall?? I got the car two months ago, and i dont know if the guy who had it at that time took it in for the recall?? :crazy:

Bring it over, let me have a listen to it, it MAY be a speaker(the one that's right behind your head) or it may be a fuel pump. The fuel pump in vette's is RATHER loud, (you shoulda heard my 85's!) just bring it by and we'll check it out.
