Default Need help Diagnosing Door Lock Problem

The passenger door lock unlocks as it should with the remote, the buttons and the ignition shut off but it does not lock electronically at all.

I used a test light on the harness connector and the tan wire lights when I push the unlock button but the grey wire does not when I push the lock button.

Does this indicate a bad passenger door control module and if so, any idea how much I might be able to ge tone for?

Thanks.

Contact "Bakersfield" on the forum. He has the inside scoop on this. You can do a search and find him easily enough.

Any of you electronics wizards know how to test the module? It seems odd that only the door lock function wouuld fail unless there was a broken wire.

Also, am I making a bad assumption that the tan wire supplies the unlock feed and the grey wire supplies the lock feed to the actuator?

Yea these modules have relays that go south pretty often. There is a lock relay and unlock relay on each one. There is a thread in the stickies by pewter99 that may help you. For some reason the pictures are gone now but maybe pewter99 still has them and can send them to you. Good Luck.
