Default Advice for LS1 mod

I'm looking to add some hp to my car. It's a 98 auto with the 3:15 rear.
Currently have the vararam,X-pipe,B&B Bullet Quad tips. The rest is all stock.
What other bolt ons do you guys recommend and guesstimate HP increase.
I want to keep my stock heads and cam for now.

In the next couple of years I'm going to built an engine and accomplished the swap then but for now I would like some extra power.
I don't drag but do open it up on the interstate.

LT headers and a LS6 intake manifold. The manifold is good for around 10rwhp and the headers I would guess 15-20rwhp.

What's the different between the LS1 and LS6 intake?
I thought one of the difference was the size of the TB intake flange.
Excuse my terminology on some parts,I'm 35 year aviation, mech turned commercial pilot.

I'm probably going to get flamed for this but before you get the LT's and tune, consider getting a better air bridge (you said u have the vararam but not the duct).

As someone also mentioned, the LS6 intake manifold would be nice and while you're at it, get a ported and polished stock TB. The can be had from the auction site for next to nothing when you return your core. It's not much of an increase--if any--but you do feel a better, more crisp throttle response.

Just saying get all the rinky-dink stuff out of the way before you get a tune.
