Today my car broke into the tens with a 10.84 at 127.93 at a private track day rental at Atco Raceway,this would not have been possible without Julio,Dave and Roy the head mechanic at Cartek.Last week I was on my way out of town and was dropping my car off at Cartek for some final tuning tweaks,I was one exit away on the Garden State Parkway when my car surged like it ran out of gas and died.To make a long story short I had an Accel fuel injector go bad on me,it was the second time an Accel injector has gone bad on me in the last two months.The injector stuck wide open and filled the cylinder with fuel.Early Saturday night when Julio called and gave me the bad news I thought the motor was ruined,Julio told me the motor hydrolocked with the fuel filling up the cylinder and when he pulled the oil pan off the car I had a bent steel connecting rod,without taking the heads off the car he couldn't tell if the cylinder was also damaged,I thought there was no way I was making the private track rental day or the Corvette Challenge this week because Cartek has been a zoo lately with all the heads and cam packages they've been putting out,with the workload they were facing this week it looked like there was no way my car would be fixed.Than I get a phone call at 2:30am Sat night/Sun morning,keep in mind it's Easter Sunday and both these guys are married with kids,it's Julio,he tells me him and Dave pulled the heads off my car,the cylinder is OK,and by luck they had another connecting rod and wrist pin from another 408 they're building and the new new rod,bearing and pin is back in the car.Monday the car sat because they had so much other work to do,by Tuesday I was back in town and at Cartek by early afternoon,the oil pan and crossmember were all buttoned up and the heads were on the car,Roy was putting the finishing touches on the intake,these guys were wrenching on my car since early in the morning like I was John Force.Roy,Cartek's head mechanic is absolutely THE BEST I've seen next to an NHRA crew mechanic.The car was on the dyno yesterday with new injectors and Julio and Dave stayed until 9:30 last night tuning my car,today I set a new record,the guys at Cartek are my bro's for life,I don't care if I sold my car tomorrow,they'd still be my good friends,these guys have bent over backwards for me for two years,Julio,Dave,Roy,Ray,Kevin,Rich,THAN KS AGAIN!!!P.S.Don't put Accel injectors on your car!

Forget the N20 if you can do heads and cam instead. Thanks to Cartek I own a 11 second 98 C5 vert, stock bottom end, naturally aspirated. The power is there all the time and there are no power adders:D This doesn't even compare in my opinion to N20 that is otherwise on a stock engine. Anytime you can get full time naturally aspirated power imho this is 100% more preferable than part time power adder that you have to fill a bottle or you have nothin goin.

Do yourself a favor, Save for Cartek's X package and see mid to low 11s on a full time reliabie (every day driver) basis :smash: Then if you want put on N20 and break into the 10ssssssssssssssssssssssss! :smash:

Thanks again CARTEK,today I accomplished another goal that would not have been possible without you guys,I wanted to put my car in the tens at a different track to back up my times from Thursday at Atco,and I did it four times today with a 10.87,10.89,10.89,10.97.Every CARTEK car that ran in the Corvette Challenge today ran real strong,me in the tens,two cars running low elevens and a few others in the elevens.
