Default what is behind the engine?

I dropped a oil sending unit in that dark hole behind the engine and I heard it fall a few inches. How do I get to it? Do I need to jack the car up and take off the torque tube cover plate? Please help! Thanks!

Just the clutch bell housing and then the torque tube. More than likely it got hung up on the wiring harness that runs down the top of the torque tube and Ys on top the bell housing just in back of the engine. Magnetic probe??

I'm pretty sure there is a small black hole back there. Sorry

You might be able to get the that from the underside of the car. Don't quote me on that but there seemed to be a lot more room from the underside to get up there. You may have to borrow a female to contort a smaller arm through there but I think it is a lot more possible to replug that hose from underneath. If not, pull the intake...I just had to do it twice because NAPA sold me a faulty sending unit! And if you do mess something up or forget to plug something back in, its not going to be catastrophic just let the engine idle for a good 10 minutes and check your codes.

Goodluck!

Btw...put an extension on that tiny vacuum line. I used guage pressure line and took the copper out of a 10 guage piece of wire to use the insulation as the connector.

Thank you, I'll try looking underneath when I get it on a lift.
