Default Electrochromatic mirror and map lights

My auto dimming mirror and map lights are not working on my 01 coupe. No green light, no map lights. The "mood light" in the mirror is working. All other interior lights work, reverse and under hood light works. My map lights in the mirror don't come on either by opening the door or by pushing the button. I read threads with others having same problem, but don't see a fix. Fuse #2 and fuse #21 both check good. Any suggestions?

I pulled the fuse out and measured it with an ohmeter, then swapped it with another 10a fuse. The floor courtesy lights, visor vanity lights and all the other stuff you mentioned work, except for the map lights and the auto dimming mirror green light. The yellow ambiance light works.

Remember. the button to turn on the dimming mirror doesn't work either. The green light won't come on.

Well Chuck, it's inside the mirror. I just went out and tapped on the mirror and the green light flashed. I tapped a few more times and it stayed on. Then the maps lights worked and the green light works with the button, too. I tapped again and it went out. One question, the driver's side map light is yellow and the passenger side is green, is that normal? I never noticed that before and I've had C5's for years.

I'll try to figure how to remove and disassemble it later. I'll let you know if I find anything. Thanks for your help.

I just pushed on the wires in the back, and got mine working.

Me too, but if you wiggle again, it stops. I'll take it off and take a look while bad weather is here this winter.
