As best as I remember, the other posters used various types of Velcro, one bought some at Home Depot, maybe it was super sticky. I bought mine at a local dept. store, seemed plenty sticky to me. Others used the doubled sided tape that the emblems on your car are held on with. I think any type is adequate. The screens are going nowhere and any sticky stuff should work. It depends on how particular you are, etc. Clean the surface with a good degreaser (alcohol should work) before you stick anything on.
Basically, I cut out strips of Velcro that fit across the top and bottom of the screen assy., shoved the assy. into the opening and it has stayed there 3 weeks so far. It will take a pretty hefty tug to get it out. One thing you may want to do (I did not but it seems a neat trick) is to put a piece of wax paper on top of the top Velcro strip before you shove it into the opening. This keeps it from sticking early before you seat it. Then when you have it installed, you slip out the wax paper and the assy. will stick to the top. I hope that describes what the poster was telling. I did not do this as, I noticed the bumper could be squeezed a bit up when you shove in the assy. and then it sticks on it own.
Hope this helps. They do make the front of the car look neater and that's all that counts.

Did mine couple of weeks ago & I used Industrial Strength Velcro (Home Depot). They were about 2 inches wide and I cut them in half on the width. Put only one strip along the top and bottom. I was worried of putting too much and then won't be able to take them off. Haven't had any problems. In fact, I tried pulling them off last weekend while washing my car and couldn't. (Didn't want to force it too much). If anyone had a trick to take them off, please post your trick. Oh, I also drilled some holes into the fog light housing using a template I got from another forum member. Good luck :smash: :smash:
Yes, make sure you have the right sex of Velcro mating up against the opposite sex piece. Guess that is the easiest way to say it! You know what I mean!
I never did the wax paper deal, but it looks interesting. I also have heard you can remove the screen from the rest of the part by opening up the area where the screen is with your fingers. I never did this other than see that is looks like it snaps in a groove. If you have room vertically to remove the screen once the assy. is in place, then you should be able to put your hand up in the opening and push against the Velcro stuff and make sure it is tight against the bumper. I tried to remove the entire assy. once I stuck them in and believe me; they are there until I really yank on them. I have no reason to do that now, maybe to clean behind it.
To remove them I used a thin plastic spatula (cooking utensil). Slip it in between the velcro to seperate.Work with it very easiley and it will come apart. Using the waxed paper work's great to reinstall.
Does anyone have any pics of a front upclose view of the screens installed? I'm trying to visualize how much space there is between the screen housing and the fascia? I'm reading these posts about sticking your hand in between! that would be quite a gap if you can stick your hand in there! Unless of course i'm misinterpreting the feedback!
Also, does it matter if you put the fuzzy side on the screen or on the fascia?
Zack, I'll ship you some pics of my install when I get home at 6 this evening. The finished gap is very small, way less than 50 mils.
You could probably get the front edge of your little finger in there, but that’s all.
The Velcro I had has a “sex”, so to speak! I would test a few small pieces together if you are unsure as a test before you install it.
The whole process is really very simple and can be started over if you think you are goofing. Just clean the surface with a degreaser (I used some alcohol swabs I had laying around) just so the stick can be secure.
