I installed my converter--and had my tranny re-freshened ( after removing) all by myself at home on jackstands---It is a little more complicated than a normal installation but not that tough really---I do have a link to an awesome tutorial instruction manual that has wonderful photos and step by step easy reading instructons---The whole cradle comes off the back with only a few bolts which drops the entire trans/diff assembly---

I found a couple others for you they are listed----Most DIY instructions are about removing a 6 speed trans or replacing the clutch--But it is basically the same but remove your A4 instead--The hardest part and the technical challenge is on how to remove the rear end cradle and rear differetial---These all show that very well with photos-- http://www.cajundude.com/differential.htm http://www.corvette-web-central.com/...ferential.html
Also for other C5 or LS1 mods this is a great site ( but no trans removal) http://ls1howto.com
4) find a group of vette people look at what they have done
5) remember dont buy anything yet resist the urge
6) drive your vette get to know it well
7) get a ride in a N/A car thats built up then take a ride in a F/I car
8) decide what you like best
9) save a ton more cash
10) spend all that cash and build what you want
The biggest mistake people make is impulse buying of stuff 4-5k only to realize that they went the wrong direction for what they wanted then they sell it for half of what they spent on it just to start all over if you dont believe me go to the forsale thread and look at all the stuff forsale at a great price. Just my .02 been thier done that. Now I drive what I wanted 4 yrs later and 10k later.
