Guys using TSP LT Headers - Come inside
I've dealt quite a bit with Texas Speed and really like their products... But have never ran any of their headers.
I'm wondering if any of you guys are running their long tube headers an 3" X pipe. If so, give me your opinion on quality, fit and finish. THANKS!!

TSP are good headers if you are on a budget. They are built pretty similar to the LG Pro Longtube's. Quality will be lower obvioulsy but still a great product nonetheless. For fitment, they hang a bit lower (just like the LG's) so you have chance of scraping. If you are on a budget and are not looking to spend a lot of money, then go for it; otherwise pick up a set of Kooks, American Racing, or LG Pro's.

Yes TSP really do make great headers, if you say you're on a budget then by all means go for it. Great bang for your buck, if you may. Any questions you have, I'm sure John would be more than happy answering. Even a small search on here will show that lots of guys are seeing great results from them.

I have these headers on my 2000 C5 and they work great! I will say the quality is fine if you don't drive your car in any rain or inclement weather. IIRC, they are a coated mild steel, hence the price! I love mine, only thing that I have to complain about is that the new dip stick location, it put a crack in my hood because the finger hole for the dipstick stuck up too high.
Caught it before it got too bad though! Still frustrating that I spent the money on the headers and that happened. Anyway, I'll snap some pictures of it tomorrow and post them up here for you.
BTW, they don't scrape on speed bumps at all. And my car is lowered on stock bolts.

I really want ceramic coated headers, to keep the heat down around them. But looking at the XSpower website, they only make the C6 headers. Another thing I like about the TSP headers, is they are 1 7/8 inch primaries, the primaries are longer and I can just buy the headers and extension pipes and connect them to my Corsa cat back, which already has an X-pipe.
Headers, install kit (dip stick tube, gaskets, and O2 extension wires) and connection pipes all for about $600 dollars.

I was under the impression that the TSP Longtubes were only available as 1 3/4". Looking at their website I couldn't find anything that indicated they were offered in 1 7/8" for us C5 guys. But then again 1 3/4" primaries are usually more then enough for most builds. What are your plans for the Vette if you don't mind me asking?

How long do you intend to keep the car. The TSP headers are mild steel as opposed to stainless. They will not last as long but if you only plan to keep the car for a few years you'll be fine.

Good luck with your Vette!
