Reprogram with converter change only?

Reprogram with converter change only?
If I kept the 3:15 gears and only changed the stock converter out for say a Vigilante 2800 or Yank stealth 2600, do I need to be reprogrammed for that? Everyone is saying it is necessary for the gear swap (up to 3.42's) but what about the converter only?

Depends. You may *want* to do some reprogramming, say to tune shift speeds, TCC lockup, etc to your liking. You may *need* to do some programming if you throw slip codes. Talk to some manufacturers and find out if they'll throw codes in your application or not.
