Problem is with fuel tank sending unit, deposits form on sending unit. Try Techron fuel additive it dissolves the deposits on sending unit, if that does not correct problem, you will have to replace sending unit.

Seafoam wont fix the fuel gauge problem. I put a bottle of Techron in mine every other fill up and never have a problem.
Seafoam will indeed also fix this problem. This is not just a Corvette/Chevy problem as all brands have the same issue. We have used Seafoam in the shop for 10 years for this issue and have had excellent results.
