How much trouble is it to install the GHL exhaust system on C5 2001 LS1?
Tks for input.

The GHL catback is exactly as easy to install as a Corsa catback. Glad I could help.

Easy as hell, if you can change the oil you can change the mufflers!

It is not hard to change the exhaust if you have the means to get the rear of the car high enough to remove the stock cat back. If you don't then your other option is to cut the stock setup to remove it. Putting the GHLs on will not require you to raise the rear as high and should not be an issue.

Perhaps the hardest part is loosing the bolts on the H Pipe without breaking them. The other is you need to drop your sway bar in order to get the over axle pipe installed.

Its easy to install the GHL's. (jacks + stands only needed)
Its hard to remove the stock exhaust in your garage without a lift.

Can't answer your question, but I couldn't resist chiming in that the GHL Bullets are imho the absolute best sounding exhaust system available for the C5. Before this turns into an exhaust preference war, I want to reiterate that it's just my opinion. You'll love your GHL exhaust when you get it installed .

I had 67k and two out of four snapped even after soaking them in PB Blaster and applying heat. Since I didn't have access to a torch I had to drill them out not fun at all.

But it was worth it, I love my GHL's
