Default Fuel "range" readout

I filled the car up today as it was down to around 1/8 tank. So I hit the range button and instead of instantly jumping up to 375 or 400 miles (whatever it always says, I can't remember) its climbing up like 1 or 2 miles at a time????

The whole drive home it went up one or two miles per every few seconds. Only got up to around 200 before I got home.

Anyone else ever had this happen?

Sounds to me like you inadvertently reset the average MPG and at that point your range would be zero. Once you drive enough and your average gets back up to 20MPG, your range would read 400 with a full tank again.

Good call as thats apparently what I did! I had never noticed it before as sometimes when I reset it, I just see the range read LOW and then the next time I look, it has the full mileage.

Thanks for helping me understand how dumb I can be.
