Default Tire Pressure Sensor?

I have a 2004 convertable. The other day, I pulled into a gravel lot and a message comes up to service the tire monitor sensor. I hit the reset and see that the right front tire is not reading the tire pressure. Later I drive across town and the message comes back up. Later in the evening, it starts working again and has worked all week with no probelms?? What happened?

I did get new front tires about a month ago. The man at the shop said to plan on extra wait time due to the fact that they would need to adjust the sensors?

I have no idea how the sensors are mounted, what they look like, or how they work. Is it possible this one is loose and fell back in place? Is starting to have an intermittant problem?

Can someone tell me about this sensor please

Look at the air valve...that's your TP sensor, atleast part of it. Perhaps the battery is going bad.....

Tire sensors are sealed units, no adjustments unless they meant they replaced O rings. Hope it was only a time thing and they didn't charge

the sensor is mounted inside your tire . It is attached to the valve stem that allows you to add air to the tire. These things are battery powered and the expected battery life is about 6 years ( after that I think GM believes we should throw our cars away). What's happening in your case is that one of the batteries s going bad and ,since all your sensors are the same age, the other batteries will follow shortly. There's a ton of info on these sensors- use the "search " function to get more info.
Bottom line is you need new sensors and you can get them from anyone of our supporting vendors.
