Default C6 shifter with C5 boot : O-ring size question

I'm doing the C6 shifter mod and ordered the shifter from Gene. Going to keep my C5Z pivot box for the solid bushings.

I am planning to re-use the C5 boot and see how it looks. For anyone that has used an O-ring to secure the C5 boot to the C6 shifter, do you recall the O-ring size you used?

Appreciate any reply.
B.

I've done several of these and I don't think an O ring is going to do what you want. I've been using a very small/thin tie wrap and it seems to work like a champ. (This $0.02 worth provided at no charge and worth about as much. )

I've read about that as well. Just wondering if the o-ring option provides a cleaner look than a possible zip tie lock bulge.

Maybe its small enough that you don't see it?

Tuck the zip tie joint up next to the seam on the boot and you'll never notice it. I think the O ring would flex and come off.

I didn't have to use an o-ring or a zip tie. I just trimmed the boot enough to where it would just barely slid on. Still using the same boot on my MGW shifter now.
