strange noise after starting

strange noise after starting

I've noticed a strange sound coming from somewhere under driver side after starting 98. Its rite under headlight ( I Think),, know its headlight motor just replaced that.. Sounds like small fan or motor/pump of sum sort. Remember reading something about an air pump or something like that , Any advice what it could be

Secondary Air Pump

Your secondary air pump is located below the head light on the drivers side. It could be going bad. It isn't real bad to get to. Just a pain to have to do.

thiking its the air pump, comes on then goes off, but notice today heard sound while sittn at red light, if it was the fan motor wouldnt car run hot
