Default exhaust

I sold my stock exhaust to a guy that was going to do that but never heard back from him on how it turned out. I did the TI exhaust mod, used 1 1/4" TI pipe with a 3/4" hole, should have gone to at least an inch, very quite on the highway at 75. Sounds aggessive when I get on it. Got video with sound ot cruise at 75 and getting on it if you want to hear the TI mod.

Default stock muffler bypass mod

I had the muffler bypass mod done on stock non Z06 mufflers. It does increase sound at wide open throttle (wot), but didn't achieve the idle sound I was looking for. I then installed a x-pipe and achieved the muscle car idle and the bypass sound at wot. No highway drone and is not loud. It is an inexpensive mod to a better sound. My 2 cents.

Same with me, a bit of difference at WOT but not any change at idle.

I eventually went with DMH electric cut outs.......Now I am cooking with Gas.

My cousin did it on his 99. I didn't care for the sound at idle.

Depends on how late I am coming home.......just kidding.

Actually, I close them about every time I get on the highway. Cool around town and all, but annoying on the open road.

So the X pipe did make yours louder at idle and WOT? I ahve been thinking of adding the X pipe but had heard it soften it down.

I bought the TI pipe from someone on here, about 2 ft for 20 bucks and paid a guy locally to weld it.

I paid about $60 at the local muffler shop.

The guy just used wetted cardboard to shield parts of the car, cut out a hole, cut some pipe and welded it in place.

I painted it all back gloss black (along with the cans) and most cannot even tell it was done.

I had mine welded up off the car, then replaced my stock set with the modded TI's
