So Im having trouble getting to the lower nut holding the starter in. Any tips on how to get to it? And then the next question is it looks really tight area with my long tube headers I don't think there's a big enough space to pull the starter.... Do I have to remove headers?

Can't speak for all headers, but you should be able to get away with loosening them. Are you sure the starter is bad?
I just don't want to replace a gasket and get in to that with the headers. If I just loosened do I need to replace?
I'm almost positive cause I replace battery. Tightened bolts on starter. Connections don't look dirty and it sounds like a starter. Does the one click thing but sometimes it does start and it barley starts.

Well sorry to be the bearer of bad news but the dealer that just changed out the starter on my stock 01 had to drop the exhaust system to get the starter in and out. Even worse was the studs snapped off so they had to drill the old ones out. I groused about the labor charge but I had neither the skills nor the tools so best for me not to complain to loudly.

Of course the h-pipe has to be dropped(which has more to do with the oil pan obstruction), but not the exhaust manifold. The OP has headers, so that restricts the access further.
