P1416 and gas milage
Two weeks ago while driving home late I got the check engine light. Pulled P1416 H C. Reset everything and got some very helpful info here. My gas mileage started to suffer <17, down to 12 when I always get around 22. For the last week of running to/from work MPH bad, but I noticed it started to come back a bit, 16.6 up from 12 MPH. But no more codes popping. All the easy stuff I had checked before but could not really find anything loose or sucking air.
Today, I finally ran the gas down and got some new stuff. But not from my regular gas station. Within 2 miles of driving up pops P1416 again. However, so far MPH is back up at 22, for the 20 miles I've driven.
So, could a change in gas (from bad gas) back to something better set this code off again? Two weeks and 200 + miles no codes and then after new gas pop goes the P1416? Any input? Thanks

I don't think age of fuel is causing your problem.

Thanks for input. I don't having any diagnostic tools. I hope to try the quick fix of carb cleaner up the pipe to the valves but this will have to wait for a while. Merry Christmas everyone.
