ERROR MESSAGE - Windshield Fluid HELP
Even though the windshield full, I get a "low windshield fluid" message on the DIC. :confused: It's a 1998 vert.
Any ideas on how to trouble shoot and fix? Thanks. :chevy

look on the driver side where you have the winshield washer reservoir. If I remember correctly there are two harnesses attached to it. make sure and see if they are both connected. One is located on the bottom and one on the back side. To remove the reservoir there are two nuts that hold it in place. That's a start.

Mine did the same thing occasionally last winter when the car was parked on uneven ground; I think there was a recall but I don't drive it in winter anymore so just ignored it. The problem went away when the temperature outside was over 50 degrees.

Once upon a time I must have brushed [or perhaps, more than "brushed"] the connector to that tanks. Just making sure that the connection is tight and waiting a couple or three ignition cycles should suffice. I'm not sure of the method by which the level is monitored but it might also be a good idea to ensure the cap [vented so I don't think a vacuum is involved] is secure also.

Seafive, my 2000 frc did this and I just unpluged the sensor at the back of the washer tank. I would guess that the sensor is going bad. There is no codes or messages with this unpluged.
