The thing is, he was running NAWZ...........He proceded to scorch his way to a 16.9 sec. run (I don't know if he sprayed). The pictures do not do justice to the size of that wing or that body kit......HUGE. Ugh. He also had 3 ENORMOUS gauges for what I have no idea.
My first run was against a totally stock Ford Contour. My 60' sucked, but my R/T was decent for being cold.

My second run was fun and a little better. I ran against a new WRX with boost controller, exhaust, and intake. He red lighted me which I thought was a huge hole shot until I talked with the guy. But, this goes to show these cars "don't mess around." heh.... :D Really cool guy too........ :)

My final run was my best and my most competitive. It was against a brand new Z28 with DRs, intake, exhaust, and NAWZ. He didn't spray for this run and it was REALLY close. It was so fun to run side by side like that! Notice we ran exactly the same MPH!

Other than that, there were a bunch of FAST cars there. Most noteable was a turbo Mustang running low 8s at 172!! Completely streetable too. Throw some stock looking rubber on there and WOW! :D

There was also a 13.7 sec. 3KGT VR-4 there with more computers than I could even recognize. And yes, he has rebuilt his tranny.....himself. :) One of my favorites was a Grand Prix that ran a 13.2. Again, computer in the passenger seat......a la F&TF. :) Another favorite was a 12.4 sec. last gen Eclipse.....nice. There were a lot of 'big dogs' there, but you could imagine what they ran........ :D
My buddy's Hawk ran a 13.4x - 13.6x with intake, throttle body, off-road pipe, DRs, and Flowmaster. The Z28 ran a 13.9x with similar mods before his clutch started slipping and I forgot what the T/A ran........
Anyway, it was a really fun day and I will be in the 12s next time with a better 60'. I just need to drive a little better or get some DRs. 18" run-craps just don't cut the mustard at the drag strip! :D
Cheers.......
