I have not noticed anything like your describing. Don't get frustrated. You will get it done...
hey, dont mean to hijack your thread but since it sounds like we're both doing this at the same time, had a question for you or any of the others....
how did you guys loosen up the mounting tabs at the bottom of the front assemblies where the two bolts go? I know they're supposed to rotate freely so that you can line them up with the holes in the A-arms, but I cant get mine to rotate to save my life.

Ahhh I wish I could... I havent started mine yet.. so Im learning from you
well, so far Ive tried a screw driver, c-clamping them to a workbench and rotating the assembly, and finally, installing the two bolts with a metal rod connecting them and whacking it with a rubber mallet a few times....still no dice
ended up bolting mine as they were to the lower A arm, lubing the bearing up pretty good with some WD40 and then kicking the assembly until it rotated in to the point where I could line it up. Not terribly precise or scientific, but sometimes you just need a bigger hammer!
I finished the install today with a buddy's help and to be honest, I am so freakin lost on setting these up I am almost to the point where I am going to go back to stock. Oh wait...my springs are sold and shipped.
Frustration isn't even the word I feel right now. I have been adjusting and readjusting and my car has NOT moved!
I think a good night's rest will help calm me down and I will get back out there and adjust things again. I think I know what I did wrong.
Well, I got things where they need to be. I will need to come down a little in the front to close up the gap, but over all, the car is sitting much higher and in a much better position.
Thanks to my buddies Vinnie and Steve for helping out. Here is my post on my install in the C5 ZO6 DISCUSSION forum...
