Default Reprogramming needed with Nitrous?

So it has now been decided. Worked out a deal with RajunCajun for his NX setup and am also going to be getting a Yank 3000 torque converter from Exit 28. Decided to stay with the stock 3.15 gears in order to avoid getting reprogrammed again. Steve Cole configured my programming with the Vortex, BPP MAF housing with airfoil, and the Corsa's last year and I have been extremely happy with the performance of the car.

So, the question is: The mechanic who will be doing the install of these items for me has said that I need to get re-programmed for both the converter and the NX setup. Something to do with being concerned about the timing and really didn't give a reason for the converter. From what I have seen from other members on here is that Steve can't really do anything else for the programming of the torque converter in addition to what is already there? And as far as the NX setup, if I am keeping it below a 100hp shot, do I really need to do anything with the programming there? Also spraying will be very limited to a couple of track visits a year and those pesky imports that won't go away.

Any advice is very appreciated. If the consensus is that I need to send the unit back and get reprogrammed, well then so be it. But would really like to avoid that route if I can.

You don't need programming for the T/C alone or the NX if it is a wet system. Tap fuel line directly and let the jets correct flow. Nozzle will go into intake between the MAF and TB, so the the computer will not pick up the mixture.

You do not need to change anything in your PCM after adding the nitrous setup. Most importantly, make sure to autotap your car often (on NA first) and make sure your are not getting any KR @ WOT.

Congrat. on your new nitrous kit. You'll love it.

I'm not sure what all Steve does with his programming but if he messed with your timing I would agree with the mechanic that it needs to be redone but I would probably go with LS1 edit or something else instead off waiting on Steve as he seems to take forever. As for the TC you might consider a shift kit to make the shifts a little less sloppy
