Default Air conditioning help

My a/c definitely has a leak but I really don't want to tear apart the whole dash to find where the leak is.
So my question is, is there a common spot that these c5s are having a problem with leaking?

It could be anywhere? What have you done so far since you are asking about the dash, that would be the very last thing to do. There are numerous areas in the engine bay. IF you have not done so, I would put some dye in the system and look for the dye, starting with the compressor and working out. Give us some more info here and you will get better help.

The flexible sections of the A/C piping in the engine compartment that have rubber hoses, and also any gaskets (o-rings) tend to be some of the most common failure points.

First we need to know if OP is talking about refrigerant or condensation leak.... FL gets pretty humid.

If you have to add refrigerant start looking for PAG oil stains. First place I'd check is the body of the compressor. I've had two case seals fail.

Leaking what exactly? More specifics would help.

I haven't taken anything apart yet. I've just tested the pressures and I know there is a refrigerant some where. I think I will have to try the florescent refrigerant next to try to get a look.
I was just wondering what common places people had problems with. So I will be checking the gaskets and hoses along with the condensor case and anythign else that was mentioned.

Stuff up front usually sees more shock/vibration (can be a biggie), heat, etc, plus the compressor is a mechanical item that has parts that eventually wear out like seals, bearings, etc.. Barring contamination, evaporators usually last the life of the vehicle.

Good luck.

Usually the compressor oil leaking is the give away where the leak is. If you don't see the oil mess, it's most likely leaking inside the airbox inside. There are 2 other ways to try to find it:

1) Refrigerant w/ dye in it.
2) R134 sniffer
