TPS Reading To High Need Help
2002 corvette factory wheels factory tps's.. left front wheel reads pressure to high 48 psi i have checked it with multiple different gauges that all read about 34-35 psi what gives? i have read ALL tps threads and only one thread said anything about a false high reading ... any ideas ?????

Did you check all four tire pressures? It's possible that one has been moved to a different position and a different tire actually has the 48 lbs of air. I don't see how a weak battery would make it read high. The sensor could be defective and need to be replaced.

Also, you might try jacking the tire off the ground and letting the air completely out of the tire. If the pressure sensor is stuck the rapid change in pressure might be enough to dislodge it. Re-inflate, rinse and repeat a couple more times then take it for a spin and see if it reads correctly. It may work again...
