Default 18/19 wheel combination question

Going to buy new chrome wheels for my 98. Right now thinking about either the 06-08 Z06's and the 09 Z06 Spiders. If I moved up to the 18/19's, what size tires would I need to get? I'd rather not have to add spacers if that is an option. I don't want to go so wide that I have rubbing problems or any other problems. How will the larger set up effect handling and the ride? I like a quit smooth ride. I have factory polished wheels off a later year C5, I think they may be called thin lines. They are in my picture there to the left. Thanks for any info on this you can give me. I have Bridgestone Potenza's on it now and will sell them and the wheels if I move up if anyone is interested in them, about 4,000 miles on the tires. I like the tires, very smooth and quit ride, will go back to them in the 18/19 size if do this. Sorry for such a long thread.

A friend of mine just put C6 18 and 19s on his C5.The ride is smooth he has Toyos Proxies on it.But the offset does not look ride on the car.He has spacers on it but the look still to inset to me.I know they make aftermart 18 and 19s for C5s and I think with the right offset it will sit and look much better. His the lugs are easy seen. And the deep lug set look and fit much nicer. Not sure what the right offset messurement is but im sure one of the rim and tire companys here on the fourm can tell you.

Good Luck

Talk to one of our CF vendors on the list to your left. House of Wheels is one that sells C6 wheels in the proper offset to fit C5s. I love those Spider wheels all black.

With the Factory C6 Zo6 wheels, you will need a 2" mini tub or 1.5" spacers to clear your inner fender wells. Flares would look better even with a mini tub.
