Im looking to get a set of long tube headers for my 1999 fixed roof coupe,i have a B&B bullet exhaust on the car now.
I was wondering what the noise difference is between high flow cats versus no cats? i'm not concerned with horsepower differences or the impact on the environment i'm just wondering if its a noticeable sound difference between the two?
Thanks

Reason: i forgot to proof read
I have LG Street (no-cat) headers with Corsa Indy exhaust, on a vert. At cruise you don't even notice them. Not sure how to compare that to high-flow cats, but I would expect not much, if any difference.
Being that your running the loud B&B Bullets out back, you won't be able to tell the difference.
If you were running the titanium system, you would be able to tell the difference from going from hi-flo's to catless.

this is my plan, i ordered the off road cats this week, have to wait for Kooks and then i'll swap my bullets back to the ti. i'll try to update the difference once i get the mid's and install finished up.

man if you go with long tubes without cats with that b&b bullet exhaust you are going to wake the dead!!!
I can give you a exact anecdote. In my case, I had a H/C LGPro, with O/R X pipe,(no cats) and a full Magnaflow catback. Wonderful tone, but too quiet for me. One of our vendors put Corsa Pace cars on sale for half price, and I've always wanted the Daytona tips. (Two large ovals) After installing them, man, was it loud! After a short time, trying to get used to the volume increase, which was exacerbated by the higher pitched tone of the Corsas, I installed HF cats that I bought from LG. They were kind enough to include short extensions needed too complete the assembly, and all the extra clamps, free! Thanks, again, LG. The noise redution was about %30 or less, but just about right for my tastes. It made quite a difference for me.

I had LG Pro long tubes, hi-flow cats and Borla stingers. The car was
a little loud, but no drone and had a wicked sound. I melted my cats
and had to gut them. The change in sound level was significant. The
car bellowed at even low rpm and droned between 1200-1600 rpm. I
put the TI's back on and all is great now.
