Default LS-Spyder Intake manifold

Now that I am on to my next mod, intake manifold, just fishing around a bit to see what the options are....
My Brother just sent me this. http://www.nitrouswarehouse.com/ls-spyder.htm
Do you think it would really do 50hp? Or would that only be on a full modded car? Bolt on, half the hp of a SC'er and half the money. Expensive, but a possibility.
What about the Holley manifold? Why hasn't anyone posted dyno numbers on it? Seems to me that it has been around long enough to get some numbers.
Or should I just get the LS6?

I haven't seen anyone on the forum with one. I would also take the 50 hp number with a cautious attitude. If they were serious about that claim, they should put up some before and after dyno runs IMO. That's a VERY expensive gamble to take without some kind of proof. I would personally go with an SC and know that you were getting 3x that gain for about 2x the price.

Saw one of these the other day. It's going on a local super stroker. Looked like a nice piece. Very $$$.

I have seen a few test with these and I have yet to see it pick up anything.
Unless you are planning on going CRAZY, stick with the stock LS6 intake. It is a pretty nice piece.

I'm about to get the Holley Manifold next week. I here that you can get a little more juice out of it over the zo6. Won't know until it's on. They claim about a 15rwhp on stock application. I should get close to 30rwhp on mine. :yesnod:

I am anxiously awaiting your results :smash:
Didn't Nate at Extreme get 15 out of the new LS6? There is probably a limit to how you can get when your motor is stock??? I plan on either H/C or SC'er for sure so want the most potential.

I know of a few testings of this intake manifold and all it did was cause the car to lose TONS of torque and increase HP by less than 5. This was on a big cube motor as well. I can only imagine how it would hurt the performance of a stock displacement ls1.

It shore looks cool though!

:D
