There is a rubber Y adapter on the back of the engine that connects the PCV valve with both heads. That piece of rubber broke. The dealer says that he only sells it with the 3 plastic pipes and wants $125.00.

Pride is involved now and I just can't pay that much for so little. Does anyone know if that Y adapter is available in the aftermarket like the HELP line or something similar????

If not, I am sure I can find something that will do at the hardware store.

I just went to the local auto parts store and made one.
I used a T instead of a Y and some new line. Worked great.

Coupla ways to go:

First, do NOT got to "the dealer" unless the dealer is one of our two forum vendor dealers, otherwise you will get screwed by being charged LIST PRICE, and they won't even give you the courtesy of a kiss when they're through with you. Either call Fichtner Chev or GMPartsHouse. Btw, from what I've seen recently, the replacement GM assembly is of a new, redesigned/improved design, with a "Y" block that is no longer rubber that dries out and cracks. It is now plastic (nylon) like the rest of the tubing. The one I saw was MUCH better designed.

Secondly, no, the "Y" piece of the same design is not available as a separate aftermarket item that I am aware of. You can check, but I don't think you'll have much success, so you'll likely be lashing something together yourself using 3/8" ID fuel line tubing and a plastic "T" fitting (or "Y" if you can find it).

Default I agree

Go get a t and make your own. Some very knowledgeable vette guys have recommended using transmission coolant line for your PCV system if replacement is required. Holds up better when exposed to oil and fumes.
