The sticker on your glove box will give you information if you can decode the options.

If you send your VIN to Gene Culley or Patrick at GMPARTSHOUSE, they can provide you the GM VIS which will tell you pertinent dates, recalls performed, warranty performed, etc. They are members of this forum and a great source of GM parts at good savings...

So your saying it IS an FRC- Fixed Roof Coupe... Your roof does NOT come off by the 3 latches?

That Vin is a 2001 coupe with transparent top and 3:15 axle, automatic. Recheck the Vin.

You have quite an issue going on there if you really think you have a 2001 Z06 (from your 1/19 post).

Your 6th and 8th digits say it is NOT a Z06:
6th digit:
2 - Body Style: 1=FRC/Z06, 2=Two Door Hatchback, 3=vert.

8th digit:
G - Motor Type Specific to year G=LS1/S=LS6

Still doesn't make sense it is obviously a FRC with a ....er wrong vin plate? Did you actually touch the car? How hot did it feel?
